Girls and women are weighed down by a myriad of expectations—be good, be pretty, be feminine, get married, have children, be a good wife by keeping a clean house and a good meal on the table, and many more.
Women try to make them fit. I was a Goody 2 Shoes. I did what my parents, and then society, expected. Eventually, I realized that the pressures to fit in were too heavy, and I began to let them go, freeing me.
